Nõo Lihatööstus is expanding its production facility to increase manufacturing capacity and support export growth. The total cost of construction works and new equipment amounts to nearly € 1 million.
The company plans to increase its production area by approximately 200 square metres, and construction of the additional premises, which began in the autumn, has already reached the roofing stage. Currently, the meat processing company operates in a total area of 10,000 square metres.
“Our goal is not only to increase production volumes – with this investment, supported by additional automation, we aim to make our manufacturing processes even more efficient,” said Ragnar Loova, CEO of Nõo Lihatööstus.
The introduction of new equipment will enable the company to expand its product range and place an even stronger focus on exports. When fitting out the new premises, particular attention is being paid to food safety at the highest level. “Investing in challenging economic conditions has been a strategic choice for Nõo Lihatööstus for many years, allowing us to maintain and strengthen the company’s competitiveness. We are doing the same now, even as the Estonian economy faces difficulties,” Loova explained.
