We have expanded our product portfolio with a new product line for children, NOMPS, developed in line with modern nutritional guidelines in the Baltics. NOMPS products are characterised by reduced salt content, are made from real meat (no mechanically deboned meat is used), and contain no monosodium glutamate (E621), artificial flavourings, or flavour enhancers.
“When developing the NOMPS line, we followed current nutritional recommendations for children and aimed to create products that meet parents’ expectations while also appealing to children. As a result, we have developed high-quality products with a high meat content that are both nutritious and enjoyable for kids,” says Simmo Kruustuk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nõo Lihatööstus.
The new product line has been developed in response to the evolving requirements for children’s nutrition in educational and institutional settings across the Baltics in recent years. NOMPS products comply with the following guidelines:
- meat content of at least 75%,
- salt content not exceeding 1.25 g per 100 g of product,
- no E621, artificial flavourings, or flavour enhancers,
- no added gluten,
- not made from mechanically deboned meat.
“Every parent knows how challenging it can be to find healthy food that children actually want to eat. NOMPS is our answer to this challenge. During product development, we placed strong emphasis on taste – testing the products on our own children, who are the most demanding audience,” adds S. Kruustuk.
Initially, the NOMPS range includes seven products: pork wieners, chicken wieners, meatballs, sliced boiled pork sausage, sliced boiled chicken sausage, boiled pork sausage, and fresh grilling sausages.
NOMPS is a brand by Nõo Lihatööstus created specifically for children. The products stand out with their bright and playful packaging, making them easily noticeable on store shelves for both children and their parents.
The aim of the updated nutritional guidelines across the Baltics is to promote a balanced and varied diet for children, supporting both their physical and emotional development.
